Governor Greg Abbott today attended the Greater Dallas Asian American Chamber of Commerce (GDAACC) luncheon for the "Diversity Beyond Boundaries" awards to recognize and celebrate successful companies in the DFW area. During his visit the Governor spoke of the success of the Asian-American business community in the DFW area, and thanked them for their important contributions to the state of Texas.

"Texas is truly America’s economic engine and the people of Dallas have been a critical part of this success," said Governor Abbott. "Texas will continue to promote the free enterprise principles that will make doing business in the Dallas area, and across the state, even more inviting and rewarding. For Texas to succeed we need our local businesses to succeed, and I thank GDAACC for their valuable contributions."

The Greater Dallas Asian American Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1986 with the mission to “Advocate for its members and the Asian American business community while assisting with the economic development of North Texas.” They have now grown to a Chamber of Commerce with over 1,200 members including 20+ ethnic groups; all dedicated to the growth of Asian-American business in the Dallas area.
