Governor Abbott Appoints Hanson To State Cemetery Committee
Governor Greg Abbott today appointed Benjamin M. Hanson of Austin to the State Cemetery Committee for a term to expire on February 1, 2021.
Benjamin M. Hanson serves as the Chief Administrative and Strategy Officer of Senior Care Centers, LLC and its affiliates. Prior to its recent acquisition by Senior Care Centers, Hanson served as President and CEO of CTLTC Real Estate, LLC, and from 2008 to 2013 Hanson served as Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Harden Healthcare, both leading providers of post-acute healthcare services to the senior population. Hanson previously served as a member of Texas Governor Rick Perry’s staff, and as Chief of Staff and General Counsel for Texas Secretaries of State J. Roger Williams and Geoffrey S. Connor. Hanson currently serves as Chairman-Elect of the Board of Directors of Meals on Wheels and More in Austin, as Past President and member of the Board of Directors of Westwood Country Club, and as Co-Chairman of the Capital Campaign and a member of the Stewardship Committee of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Austin. Hanson graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a double major in Plan II Honors and Government. Following his undergraduate degree, he obtained his law degree from the Dedman School of Law at Southern Methodist University.
