Governor Abbott Appoints Billingsley Judge Of 446th Judicial District Court
Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Sara Kate Billingsley of Odessa as judge of the 446th Judicial District Court in Ector County for a term set to expire at the next general election in November 2016. This appointment will be effective Sept. 1, 2015.
Sara Kate Billingsley is managing partner for the Billingsley Law Firm and was previously an associate attorney at Todd, Barron, Thomason & Hudman in Odessa. She is a fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation and was previously president and treasurer of the Ector County Bar Association. She serves as president of the Food2Kids Board of Directors, pillar chairman of the United Way of Odessa and chairman of Merchants for the Junior League of Odessa Merry Marketplace. Billingsley received a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas, Permian Basin and a Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma College of Law.
