Governor Abbott Reappoints Hill And Lovell To Board Of Pilot Commissioners For Galveston County Ports

Governor Greg Abbott has reappointed Arden C. “Trey” Hill, III and Kelly K. Lovell to the Board of Pilot Commissioners for Galveston County Ports for terms set to expire on February 1, 2024. The Board has exclusive jurisdiction over the piloting of vessels on navigable streams wholly or partially located in the board’s jurisdiction.

Arden C. “Trey” Hill, III of Friendswood is president of Hill Sand Company, Inc. He is president of Friendswood Capital Corporation, vice president of the Friendswood Downtown Economic Development Corporation, and board member of Texan Bank. Additionally, he is a coach for Friendswood Youth baseball and a board member of Friendswood Youth Football and the Mike Doiron Golf Tournament. Hill attended Texas State University.

Kelly K. Lovell of Friendswood is executive vice president at United Valve. She is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management and the Texas A&M Lettermen's Association. Additionally, she is president of the FISD Education Foundation and serves as an advisory board member for Texan Bank. Lovell received a Bachelor of Science in Ag Leadership and Development from Texas A&M University and a Master of Science in Instructional Technology from the University of Houston, Clear Lake.
