Governor Abbott Appoints Wallach To Second Court of Appeals

Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Mike Wallach to the Second Court of Appeals for a term set to expire on December 31, 2020, or until his successor shall be duly elected and qualified.

Mike Wallach of Colleyville has served as Judge of the 348th Judicial District Court in Tarrant County since 2017. Prior to being elected, he was a practicing attorney for over 37 years. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Tarrant County Bar Association and a judicial fellow of the International Association of Defense Counsel. He is former president of the Texas Association of Defense Counsel and a former member of the Defense Research Institute and the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel. Additionally, he is a Mason, former president of Moslah Shriners Fort Worth, and a member of the Shiners Hospitals for Children-Galveston Board of Governors and Fort Worth Scottish Rite. Wallach received a Bachelor of Arts in political science and history from Texas Christian University and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Houston Law School.
