Governor Abbott Appoints Villalobos To Prepaid Higher Education Tuition Board
Governor Abbott has appointed Javier Villalobos to the Prepaid Higher Education Tuition Board for a term set to expire February 1, 2023. The board oversees the Texas Tuition Promise Fund and the Texas College Savings Plan.
Javier Villalobos of McAllen is an attorney and owner of the Law Office of Javier Villalobos, P.C., and serves as a City Commissioner for the City of McAllen. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and a volunteer for various non-profit groups. Villalobos received a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Southwest Texas State University, now Texas State University, and a Juris Doctor degree from the Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University.
