Governor Abbott Appoints Tesson And Nowak To One Call Board Of Texas
Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Richard Tesson and Christopher Nowak to the One Call Board of Texas for terms set to expire on August 31, 2021 and August 31, 2020, respectively. The board has authority over “Call Before You Dig” systems that notify the underground facility operators of excavation plans so pipelines and utility lines can be marked to prevent accidents.
Richard Tesson of Houston is special projects manager for Slack & Co. Contracting. He is a member of the Associated General Contractors of Houston and chair of the Risk Managers Peer Group for American Subcontractors Association of Houston. Additionally, he served as the co-chairman of the Damage Prevention Council of Southeast Texas until 2018. Tesson received a Bachelor of Arts in interior design and construction from Kendall College.
Christopher Nowak of Cypress is operations director for Kinder Morgan. He has held many roles throughout his career in the areas of operations, research, environmental, engineering, and compliance. Additionally, he is experienced in emergency response and public awareness and has participated in several Local Emergency Planning Committees and Incident Commander forums. He is a member of the Pipeline Research Council International. Nowak received a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Western New England College.
These appointments are subject to Senate Confirmation.
