Governor Abbott Appoints Scher To Texas Public Finance Authority
Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Brendan Scher to the Texas Public Finance Authority for a term set to expire on February 1, 2025. The authority issues and sells bonds for designated state agencies in order to finance the acquisition or construction of buildings.
Brendan Scher of Austin is an associate at Escalate Capital Partners. He previously was an investment banking associate with PJ Solomon, an assistant vice president with Deutsche Bank, and an associate director with Fitch Ratings. A CFA Charterholder, he is a member of The CFA Society of Austin and a former member of the New York Society for Securities Analysts. Scher received a Bachelor of Science in Economics from The College of New Jersey and a Master of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin.
