Governor Abbott Appoints Robinson To 405th Judicial District Court
Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Jared Robinson Judge of the 405th Judicial District Court in Galveston County for a term set to expire on December 31, 2020, or until his successor shall be duly elected and qualified.
Jared Robinson of Friendswood is a partner at Jones Robinson LLP, and previously served as an assistant district attorney for the Galveston County District Attorney’s Office. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Texas Bar College, American Bar Association, and the National Guard Association of the United States. Additionally, he is president of the Galveston County Bar Association and a member of The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100. He is a staff defense attorney for the Galveston County Veteran’s Treatment Court and committee chairman of Ducks Unlimited, and previously volunteered as a staff prosecutor for Galveston County HOPE Drug Court. Robinson is an Army veteran, having served in Operation Iraqi Freedom, and currently serves as a Judge Advocate in the Army National Guard. He received a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Louisiana State University and Juris Doctor degree from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law.
This appointment is subject to Senate confirmation.
