Governor Abbott Appoints Huddle To The Judicial Compensation Commission

Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Rebeca Aizpuru Huddle to the Judicial Compensation Commission for a term set to expire on February 1, 2019. The commission recommends the proper salaries to be paid by the state for all justices and judges of the Supreme Court, Court of Criminal Appeals, Courts of Appeals, and state district courts

Rebeca Aizpuru Huddle of Bellaire is a partner at Baker Botts L.L.P., and is a former Justice of the First Court of Appeals. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Houston Bar Association, Mexican American Bar Association of Houston, Women’s Energy Network, and the American Bar Association. She is co-chair of the State Bar of Texas Appellate Judicial Liaison Committee, member of the Houston Area Women’s Center Board of Directors, and a mentor from Breakthrough Houston. Aizpuru Huddle received a Bachelor of Science in political science from Stanford University and a Juris Doctor degree from The University of Texas Law School.
