Governor Abbott Appoints Holt To State Commission on Judicial Conduct

Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Janis Holt to the State Commission on Judicial Conduct for terms set to expire on November 19, 2025. The commission regulates the conduct of the state judiciary, including the power to recommend for retirement, censure, suspension or removal of a judge from office.

Janis Holt of Silsbee is co-owner and manager of Hi-Tech Air & Water Purification Systems, LLC and co-owner of Holt Farms and Texas Premium Beef. Previously, she taught public school in Texas for 10 years. She is a member trustee of the Silsbee Independent School District School Board. Holt received a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Lamar University.
