Governor Abbott Appoints Henry To Texas Juvenile Justice Board

Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Pat Sabala Henry to the Texas Juvenile Justice Board for a term set to expire on February 1, 2023. The board is charged to develop and implement rules to govern the department, executive director, and staff and to establish the mission and set goals for the department to emphasize keeping youth in home communities while balancing rehabilitative needs with public safety.

Pat Sabala Henry of Morton is the County Judge of Cochran County. He previously served as a probation officer for Cochran and Hockley counties. Henry received an Associate’s degree in Law Enforcement Technology from South Plains College and a Bachelor’ of Science in Human Services with a focus on criminal justice from Wayland Baptist University.
