Governor Abbott Appoints Five To Lower Colorado River Authority Board Of Directors

Governor Greg Abbott has reappointed Timothy “Tim” Timmerman, Thomas Michael “Tom” Martine, and Robert “Bobby” Lewis and appointed Margaret “Meg” Voelter and Michael “Mike” Allen to the Lower Colorado River Authority Board of Directors for terms set to expire on February 1, 2025.

Timothy “Tim” Timmerman of Austin is a real estate investor and developer. He is the vice chairman of St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center and president of Colorado River Land Trust. He is a member of Austin Area Research Organization, YMCA of Williamson County, Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Pflugerville, Austin Crime Commission, and the Greater Round Rock Community Foundation. Timmerman received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas A&M University and a Masters of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin.

Thomas Michael “Tom” Martine of Cypress Mill is president of Martine Properties, Inc. He is a member of Austin Apartment Association, Real Estate Council of Austin, and Boy Scouts of America. He is a board member of the Capitol Area Council of Boy Scouts of America, and has served as the past president of the Austin Commercial Real Estate Society and Building Owners & Managers Association. Martine served in the United State Navy and received a Bachelor of Science in business and physical education from The University of Texas at Austin.

Robert “Bobby” Lewis of Elgin is president of Elgin Veterinary Hospital, Inc. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and Texas Equine Veterinary Association. He is a member and past president of the American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP), and past board chair and AAEP representative for the Racing Medication and Testing Consortium. He is a life member of the Texas Thoroughbred Association, American Quarter Horse Association, and Texas Quarter Horse Association. Lewis received a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine.

Margaret “Meg” Voelter of Austin volunteers in many capacities. She is a former adjunct professor at Baylor Law School and attorney at Cantey, and Hanger, Roan and Autrey. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas. In addition, she serves as an advisor for National Charity League – Hills of Austin Chapter, member of UTEACH Advisory Council and the Dell Children’s Women’s Trust, and a mock trial coach and parent ambassador at Regents School of Austin. Voelter received a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from The University of Texas at Austin and a Juris Doctor degree from Baylor University School of Law.

Michael “Mike” Allen of Kerrville is the owner operator of HCRV Park Kerrville, a real estate investor, and rancher. He is also the past chairman, president, and CEO of Union State Bank. He has served on the Upper Guadalupe River Authority Board of Directors, and is past president of a Rotary Club. Allen received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas State University.
