Governor Abbott Appoints Evans To 95th Judicial District Court

Governor Greg Abbott has appointed David W. Evans to the 95th Judicial District Court for a term set to expire on December 31, 2020, or until his successor shall be duly elected and qualified.

David W. Evans of Cedar Hill is a former Justice of the Fifth Court of Appeals and former judge of the 193rd Judicial District Court. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Dallas Bar Association, life fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation and the Dallas Bar Foundation. Additionally, he is a board member and trail steward of Audubon-Dallas. Evans received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Connecticut and a Juris Doctor degree from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law.

This appointment is subject to Senate confirmation.
