Governor Abbott Appoints Ertz And Tate To State Commission on Judicial Conduct
AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Valerie Ertz and Fred Tate to the State Commission on Judicial Conduct for terms set to expire November 19, 2023. The commission regulates the conduct of the state judiciary, including the power to recommend for retirement, censure, suspension or removal of a judge from office.
Valerie Ertz of Dallas owner and president of VEE Services Inc. Ertz received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University and a Master of Science in management from Troy State University.
Fred Tate of Colleyville is the founder of CFO Shield. Prior to launching his business, he was a vice-president with Willis Towers Watson. He is a member of Financial Executives International and volunteers with Patriot PAWS Service Dogs. Additionally, he is a member of the Colleyville Chapter of Lions International and a Cub Master for Cubs Scouts Pack 228 in Colleyville. He was previously appointed by Governor Abbott to the Judicial Compensation Commission. Tate received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Baylor University with a double major in finance and economics.
