Governor Abbott Appoints Bassel To Second Court Of Appeals
Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Dabney Bassel to the Second Court of Appeals for a term set to expire on December 31, 2018.
Dabney Bassel of Fort Worth is an attorney in private practice, and is board certified in Civil Appellate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He is member of the State Bar of Texas, Texas Bar College, American Inns of Court, and the Federalist Society and life fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation. Additionally, he is a member and past president Eldon B. Mahon Inn of Court and a member and past vice president of the Tarrant County Bar Association. Bassel received a Bachelor of Arts in history from Trinity University and a Juris Doctor degree from Baylor University School of Law.
