Governor Abbott Appoints Armstrong To Finance Commission Of Texas
Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Robin Armstrong, M.D. to the Finance Commission of Texas for a term set to expire on February 1, 2022. The commission is the governing body of the state banking, savings and loan, and consumer credit agencies.
Robin Armstrong, M.D. of Friendswood is a hospitalist physician and owner of Armstrong Medical Group. He is a member of the Texas Medical Association and a member and former president of the Galveston County Medical Society. Additionally, he is a member of Texas Alliance for Life Board of Directors and former board member of the Clear Lake Regional Medical Center Board of Directors. Armstrong received a Bachelor of Science in microbiology from Texas A&M University and a Doctor of Medicine from The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, where he also completed his internal medicine residency.
This appointment is subject to Senate Confirmation.
