Governor Abbott Appoints Albers Wood County Criminal District Attorney
Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Angela Albers as the Wood County Criminal District Attorney for a term set to expire December 31, 2020, or until her successor shall be duly elected and qualified.
Angela Albers of Mineola is the First Assistant District Attorney for the Wood County Criminal District Attorney’s Office. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Texas District and County Attorneys Association, and the Wood County Bar Association. Additionally, she was the former vice president and former treasurer of the Rockwall County Bar Association. She is a child sponsor for Compassion International, a member of the Alba – Golden ISD Parent Teacher Association, former member of Habitat for Humanity, and former a volunteer with the student mentoring program with the Rotary Club of Rockwall County. Albers received a Bachelor of Arts in English from Sam Houston State University and a Juris Doctor degree from Baylor Law School.
This appointment is subject to Senate confirmation.
