Governor Abbott Meets With Aichi Prefecture Governor Hideaki Ohmura
Governor Greg Abbott today met with Aichi Prefecture Governor Hideaki Ohmura and welcomed him to Texas State Capitol. During the meeting, the two leaders discussed the importance of the relationship between Texas and Japan and how to further strengthen the economic ties between the two economies.
Governor Abbott began the meeting by thanking Governor Ohmura for his visit and for his commitment to working with the state of Texas. The meeting was highlighted by discussions regarding Aichi Prefecture based businesses with operations in Texas, including Toyota’s North America Headquarters, Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation, and Chubu Electric Power. The two Governors also discussed the important energy and liquefied natural gas trade between the two economies. The meeting concluded as the two discussed ways to continue growing the economic and business relationship between Japan and Texas.
