Governor Abbott Hosts Flag Day Observance Ceremony In San Antonio

Governor Greg Abbott today hosted a Flag Day Observance Ceremony in San Antonio, Texas, recognizing military veterans and their families for their service to the United States. The ceremony was held at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 76 – the oldest Post in Texas – and was marked by the presentation of challenge coins to service members in attendance.

"As we celebrate and honor this flag, we are reminded of the brave men and women who have worn the uniform of the United States military for which it stands,"said Governor Abbott. “It is because of their selfless service that America has endured as a beacon of hope and freedom, and we will never forget those who made the ultimate sacrifice to to uphold its values. On behalf of a grateful state and nation, I thank those who have served and defended our freedoms."
