Governor Abbott Discusses Business Development At Mahindra And Mahindra Headquarters

Governor Greg Abbott today visited Mahindra & Mahindra Limited in Mumbai, India, to meet with Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra and have lunch with executives of Mahindra’s subsidiary companies. In the meeting and over lunch, the Governor and Mr. Mahindra discussed strengthening the business ties between the prominent India-based company and Texas. Mahindra North America's headquarters, as well as one of its assembly plants, are located in Houston.

Mr. Mahindra gave Governor Abbott an overview of the company’s operations in India and in Texas, and both sides talked about the important relationship between Mahindra and Texas. Mr. Mahindra commented on the company's great relationships within the communities in which they operate, in addition to the state's ideal business environment.

Noting the important connection between Mahindra and Mahindra and the regions in which they operate, Governor Abbott thanked Mr. Mahindra for the company's generous donations to the Houston community in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey.
