Governor Greg Abbott today delivered remarks at the 2019 Texas Farm Bureau Leadership Conference in Austin. The Governor spoke about the agricultural industry’s invaluable impact on the state’s economy, recognized the contributions of farmers and ranchers in helping to build a better Texas, and stressed the need for property tax relief and education reform.

"Texas' agricultural industry has long led the nation in production and innovation, which has allowed us to earn the title of the nation's top exporter for 16 straight years," said Governor Abbott. "The impact of our farmers and ranchers extends far beyond our state lines, and even beyond our country's borders. Working together, we will ensure that the Lone Star State's remains an economic engine for the nation."

Founded in 1933, the Texas Farm Bureau represents farmers and ranchers by advocating for policies that protect property rights, Texas' superb farm-to-market road system, and economic incentives to keep its members on the land and make food affordable.
