Governor Abbott Attends Groundbreaking at Steel Pipe Facility in Paris, TX
Governor Greg Abbott today delivered remarks at a groundbreaking ceremony for American SpiralWeld Pipe Company’s (SpiralWeld) new manufacturing facility in Paris, Texas. The Governor spoke about the positive economic impact of SpiralWeld’s investment, and the important role that industries play in creating jobs and diversifying the economy.
“Today’s groundbreaking is illustrative of the tremendous economic growth we’re seeing throughout Texas,” said Governor Abbott. “On behalf of the State of Texas, we are proud that SpiralWeld is investing in Paris, and in our state. It is because of investments like this one that the Texas economy continues to grow, diversify, and create good-paying jobs.”
SpiralWeld’s new state-of-the-art steel pipe facility is a capital investment of more than $91 million dollars and will create 60 new full-time jobs, with the potential for more in the future. A Texas Enterprise Fund (TEF) grant offer of $402,000 has been extended to SpiralWeld.
