The Office of the Governor is looking for an Administrative Assistant (Administrative Assistant V) to work in the Executive Office.

The salary is $4,416.67 - $4,583.34 a month ($53,000.04 - $55,000.08 a year).

What You’ll Do
This is a job that performs advanced (senior-level) administrative support work. Work involves providing and coordinating administrative support, including disseminating information, preparing correspondence, preparing, and editing reports and documents, and maintaining filing systems.
- Plans, coordinates, and performs office management and administrative assistant duties, including oral and written communication, scheduling, telephone communication, purchasing, mail sorting and distribution, and record maintenance.
- Receives and promptly fields internal and external telephone inquiries. Makes logical and timely caller and visitor referrals.
- Independently and correctly prioritizes calls and emerging issues to determine when prompt, higher-level OOG follow-up action may be required. Demonstrates a sense of urgency and commitment in handling all caller and visitor inquiries.
- Maintains reception area visitor logs.
- Operates electronic mail systems and coordinates the flow of information, internally or with other organizations.
- Prepares and disseminates information concerning agency programs, services, and procedures.
- Coordinates and schedules travel and appointments for Executive staff.
- Compiles materials for meetings, conferences, seminars, presentations, and training's.
- Prepares, edits, and distributes correspondence, reports, studies, forms, and documents.
- Conducts administrative reviews of reports, documents, applications, or summaries to ensure administrative completeness.
- Creates, maintains, compiles, and enters data for databases, summaries, and reports.
- Maintains filing systems, including recording information, updating paperwork, or maintaining documents, records, correspondence, or other material.
- Assists with preparing PowerPoint presentations.
- Responds to inquiries regarding technical program or administrative regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Develops, updates, writes, edits, and recommends office policies, procedures, and systems.
- Demonstrates sustained knowledge of OOG issues and press releases and matters of public interest.
- Researches, analyzes, and leads administrative and special projects as assigned.
- Handles sensitive and confidential situations accordingly.
How You’ll Qualify
- High school graduate or equivalent; and
- Four (4) years of professional experience in program management.
Note: Experience and education may be substituted for one another on a year-for-year basis.
You’re a Great Fit with
- Graduation from an accredited two-year college or four-year university with a degree in business administration, management, human resources, government, public administration, or related field; and
- Strong communication and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
