International Business & Trade

Texas is a gateway to global trade and a leading location for foreign direct investment. The state’s strategic geographical location and robust infrastructure offer businesses easy access to customers worldwide. An increasing number of international companies continue to choose Texas for their next business investment.

The International Business & Trade team helps Texas companies to do business internationally and helps foreign companies expand or relocate to the Lone Star State. The division’s initiatives include the Governor’s Texas Export Assistance Program, which includes virtual and in-person trade events around the globe. The State of Texas Mexico Office (STMO) markets Texas as the premier business investment destination for Mexican companies looking to invest in the state and helps Texas businesses export to Mexico.
