STUDENT INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
The internship program offers current or recently-gradutated college students the opportunity to develop a working knowledge of and gain experience in the film, television, animation, and video game industries. We are seeking students with excellent communication skills who want to learn how these industries work, and contribute to the film commission’s efforts to promote and expand these industries in Texas. Intern Alumni Success
More than 300 students have interned at the Texas Film Commission over the past 20 years. Their professional accomplishments after leaving the Film Commission continue to amaze and impress us. Former interns have gone on to work on Texas-made productions, such as:
Love & Death (HBO), 1923 (Paramount), The Son (AMC), Alita: Battle Angel, Fear the Walking Dead (AMC), Transformers: Age of Extinction, The Leftovers (HBO), Everybody Wants Some, American Crime (ABC), From Dusk Till Dawn (El Rey), True Grit, Sin City, The Tree Of Life, Friday Night Lights (NBC), Parkland, Results, and many more.
They have also gone on to land positions at companies, including:
Warner Bros., Paramount Pictures, Miramax, Lucasfilm, Pixar, Castle Rock Entertainment, Troublemaker Studios, El Rey Network, Rooster Teeth, Detour Filmproduction, ICM, the Austin Film Festival, the Texas Film Commission, NBCUniversal, Discovery Channel, Phoenix Pictures, Mary Vernieu Casting, Creative Artists Agency (CAA), William Morris Agency (now WME), Austin Film Society and the New York Public Library.
