DALLAS – VAN DRIVER
Late 20s. Magnetic, built from years of hard labor. A road-worn charmer with a quiet intensity. The kind of guy who can fix an engine with one hand and roll a cigarette with the other.
KATY – FESTIVAL-GOER
Early 20s. Sensitive, intuitive, raised herself. Dark-eyed, deeply spiritual, but not naive. Reads tarot, but doesn't always trust what the cards say. Feels like she’s been running from something forever.
JESS – FESTIVAL-GOER
Mid-20s. Sun-kissed, confident, the natural leader of the group. Wears a band tee knotted at the waist, denim shorts, and a knowing smirk. She’s the one who picks the road trip playlist and drives faster than she should.
CHLOE – FESTIVAL-GOER
Early 20s. Quiet, artistic, always sketching something in her battered notebook. Wears oversized flannels and thrifted dresses. Speaks in observations rather than opinions. She digs Ryan but won’t admit it, even to herself.
RYAN – FESTIVAL-GOER
Mid-20s. Often shirtless, man bun, guitar slung over his shoulder. Up for anything—sometimes to a fault. Romantic in a reckless way. Hasn't bought a new pair of boots in years, just lets them fall apart.
APRIL – FESTIVAL-GOER
Mid-20s. Fearless, impulsive, a wild child in every sense. The one who convinces everyone to take the sketchy detour, the extra shot, the leap into the unknown. Owns vinyl records but no record player.
BRIAN – MOTEL CLERK
Early 20s. Former high school jock, now working the night shift at a rundown Texas motel. Romantic at heart, counting the days until he heads to Texas A&M in the fall. Drives his mom’s old sedan, keeps a football in the trunk, just in case.
JANET – WAITRESS
30s. Foreign, independent, survivor. Single mom energy. Works long hours at a roadside diner, but her mind is always somewhere else. Her past is full of secrets she doesn’t tell just anyone.
LEVI – DRIFTER
30s. Been living on the road for a decade. Says he's just passing through, but he's been saying that for years. Collects matchbooks from every bar he visits, lost something he can’t talk about.
NINA – STUDENT
Summer break traveler, colored streak in her hair, earbuds always in, working on a novel she never shows anyone.

As with any workplace, the film and television industries can present a wide range of potential occupational health and safety hazards to workers. The Texas Film Commission expects all productions, regardless of budget to employ best practices such as establishing a workplace harassment prevention policy as well as maintaining overall industry safety standards in order to encourage and accomplish safety on set. Please visit the Safety On Set page for additional industry safety resources as well as information about employee rights and laws in Texas.
