“Noah” Male-presenting / Latino / Late teens / LEAD ROLE
A skater with a self-destructive streak, Noah exudes a rough-around-the-edges charm and streetwise swagger. Beneath his rebellious exterior lies a compassionate heart, especially for Paola, with whom he shares a deep connection. Noah’s journey is one of redemption as he wrestles with past mistakes and strives for a better future.
Required: Skateboarding Experience.
“Elaine” Female-presenting / Latina / late 40s-50s / SUPPORTING ROLE
Paola and Joy’s mother, Elaine is a hard working and caring, battling her own chronic health issues while holding the family together after the death of her son, David. She is the family anchor and carries wisdom of indigenous heritage, language, and traditions.
Required: Bilingual.
“Joy” Female-presenting / Latina / 5-10 years old / SUPPORTING ROLE
Paola’s younger sister, Joy is an innocent yet spunky child with a vivid imagination. She’s a source of light in the family, often diffusing tension with her humor and unfiltered observations. Joy looks up to her sister and is deeply affected by their family’s history.
Required: Bilingual.
“Angelina” Female-presenting / Latina / early-late 40s / SUPPORTING ROLE
Angie is a harm reduction worker and street nurse. She balances quiet strength with an unwavering sense of duty. As Noah’s aunt, she becomes a reluctant parental figure, stepping into a role left vacant by her sister. Angie’s past experiences with family estrangement have made her guarded but also fiercely protective of those she loves.

“Xiomara” Female-presenting / Latina / late teens / SUPPORTING ROLE
A vibrant and confident friend of Paola, Xio is the life of the party and a source of encouragement. She embraces her individuality and is unafraid to speak her mind, often pushing Paola to break out of her shell. She is a fellow latch key kid, takes care of many brothers and sisters. Emo hair and dress.
Bonus: Bilingual, Emo/Dyed Hair.
“David” Male-presenting / Latino / early 20’s / SUPPORTING ROLE
Paola’s older brother, David is a haunting presence in the story. A talented musician with a dark side, his struggles with addiction and anger leave a lasting impact on his family. His complexity lies in his simultaneous capacity for love and destruction.
