To say that the Town & Country Drive-In Theatre has had a storied history would be to undersell it. One quick glance at their 'About Us' page will tell you that. But here's a few highlights - The Town and Country first opened its doors in 1956 with a screening of Guys and Dolls and was, at the time, the biggest drive-in in Texas. In 1986 they would be forced to shut down for 19 long years, only to reopen again in 2005. They showed a double bill of Dinosaur and Shanghai Noon that night, and continue to show double features year round on what they claim is 'The Biggest Screen in Abilene'!
