Shotwell Stadium is the home field for the Abilene High School Eagles and the Cooper High School Cougars. The stadium has been host to many high profile games. The stadium has seen crowds of over the 15,000 seating capacity when standing room sections were made available.

  • Shotwell Stadium played host to the visiting Permian Panthers in 2004's Friday Night Lights, just the same as it has countless times in real life, as the home of one of Odessa Permian's longtime rivals: the Abilene Cooper Cougars.
