The Old Iron Bridge, also known as the Colorado River Bridge, located on State Highway Loop 150 in Bastrop, Texas, was constructed in 1923. It exemplifies the Parker steel-truss style, a truss design that was commonly used in bridges in Texas and the U.S. from the 1920s to the 1940s.

    • After 12 years of silence, the buzz returns to Texas on this very bridge! This location serves as the opening scene of the film where two irresponsible, gun-owning yuppies meet their grisly demise after they play chicken with a truck that just happens to contain the Sawyer family.
