Made in Texas | Fixer Upper: The Lakehouse executive producers Jarrett Lambo & Aric Laferriere

September 10, 2024

On the 10th anniversary of the Waco-based megahit "Fixer Upper", we asked Aric Laferriere and Jarrett Lambo - longtime Reality TV producers and executive producers of "Fixer Upper: The Lakehouse" - what it is that makes producing Reality TV in Texas unique. Their answer? As good as any we could have asked for:

"It's a great community...there was a period in our industry where you knew other folks, but it wasn't really a community in the sense of helping each other out and I think the way the industry has shifted, there's a community in Texas. We talk all the time, we played a couple rounds of golf with some of the other companies and it's just a chance to just check in and "what are y'all working on, how can we be helpful to you"...that's something I haven't experienced in production that I worked on in Los Angeles or New York."

Aric and Jarrett had many, many more great things to say about working in Texas, showcasing different aspects of Waco over the years and, of course, Chip and Jo, so don't delay - catch our full Made in Texas interview today!

Make sure to head to our TFC Youtube channel to keep up with all the Made in Texas Interviews.
