About the Event:
The Boomtown Film Society is a volunteer-run nonprofit organization that’s been working to promote film making and appreciation in Southeast Texas for over fifteen years. (Our first meeting was held on May 9, 2006 under the name “Southeast Texas Film Alliance.”)
In 2008 our organization began holding the annual Boomtown Film & Music Festival in Beaumont, Texas, showcasing both fiercely independent films and cutting edge musical acts. The scope of our film society’s activities has expanded since then to include community meet-ups, new contests and other special events all year long.
This web site is currently under construction, so stay tuned for more information about our team and what they’re doing to make Southeast Texas more cinematic!
