New Leadership & Fiscal Year Re-Cap
September marks a new fiscal year as we celebrate our past year's accomplishments and we welcome new leadership: Stephanie Whallon as Director and Lindsey Ashley as Deputy Director. Stephanie most recently served as Incentive Program Manager and has been with the agency since 2011. Lindsey most recently served as Senior Production Consultant and has been with the agency since 2006.
Here are just a few of our accomplishments from the past year:
- Nearly 400 new crew listings in the Texas Production Directory
- More than 1,000 new industry opportunities listed on the Job Hotline
- The launch of our new 'Fear the Walking Dead Texas' Film Trail
- 14 newly-certified Film Friendly certified communities (including 1 newly-certified Film Friendly county) following workshops in Lufkin, Plainview and San Antonio that were attended by more than 100 community officials
- Over 50 certified P.A.'s following our Production Assistant Workshops in El Paso and San Antonio
We look forward to more successes during the next fiscal year as we continue our mission of providing resources that serve the moving image industry of Texas while supporting our state’s global position as a premier production destination.
