Texas Production Directory - Rules & Requirements
The Texas Production Directory (TPD) is a free resource for the media production industries of Texas encompassing film, television, commercials, animation, VFX, video games, and XR. Industry professionals search the TPD for talented Texas-based crew, companies, and industry organizations. The Texas Film Commission uses the TPD to recommend Texas crew and companies both equitably and accurately for hire.

Prerequisites to List
- Applicant must have a current Texas address.
- Applicant must provide proof of at least one paid, verifiable, professional media industry (film, television, commercial, animation, VFX, video game, or XR) job credit that corresponds with each selected TPD category.
- Click here to review a complete list of all TPD categories to ensure the best one is chosen for each corresponding credit.
If eligible, collect your contact information and previous job history materials/paperwork prior to starting your application. The process typically takes between 10-20 minutes to complete. The application will time out after a period of inactivity, ending the session and requiring you to start the process from the beginning.
To ensure the TPD remains a trustworthy and accurate source of information, applicants who fail to meet the listed prerequisites or are unable to provide all required information will not have their listing approved. If you have questions, please contact us.
Tips & Pointers
- Each listing allows you to choose up to eight (8) categories, with seven (7) credits per category.
- Applicants are highly encouraged to upload their résumés and include links to their website, IMDb profile, or other pages detailing their professional experience / portfolio of work. Including headshots (for individuals) or logos (for companies/organizations) are a great way to grab attention, too.
- Approved listees are highly encouraged to update their industry credits and contact information as often as they would their résumé to stay relevant in searches. Unless otherwise stated, listings are valid for ten (10) years after each approved update.
- Listees can set their email(s), phone number(s), and street address as listed (public) or unlisted (private) by clicking the lock icon near those respective fields. Typically, individuals set street addresses as private and emails and phone numbers as public. At least one form of contact information should be public.
Please review the Directory’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. By creating a listing with the Texas Film Commission, you accept these conditions.
