Governor Abbott Announces Music Friendly Community Workshop In Waxahachie
Governor Abbott today announced the Texas Music Office will host a Music Friendly Community Workshop, in partnership with the City of Waxahachie, on Wednesday, November 6, in Waxahachie. The workshop is open to anyone interested in learning about the new Texas Music Office program that seeks to foster music business economic development in Texas cities and communities. Brendon Anthony, director of the Texas Music Office within the Office of the Governor’s Economic Development and Tourism Division, will be present to explain the Music Friendly Community designation and answer questions.

Governor Abbott Announces San Angelo Designated As Music Friendly Community
Governor Greg Abbott announced that San Angelo, having completed the multi-step certification process, has been designated as a Music Friendly Community by the Texas Music Office. The Music Friendly Community program seeks to foster music business economic development in Texas cities and communities. Brendon Anthony, director of the Texas Music Office within the Office of the Governor’s Economic Development Division, presented the Music Friendly Community designation in San Angelo to Mayor Brenda Gunter on Thursday, June 27, 2019 during a presentation at The House of FiFi Dubois that was open to the public.
