Governor Abbott Announces Music Friendly Community Workshop In San Angelo
Governor Greg Abbott today announced a Music Friendly Community workshop scheduled for Thursday, January 10, in San Angelo. The workshop, cohosted by the Texas Music Office and Discover San Angelo, is open to anyone interested in learning about the new Texas Music Office program that seeks to foster music business economic development in Texas cities and communities. Brendon Anthony, director of the Texas Music Office within the Office of the Governor’s Economic Development Division, will be present to explain the Music Friendly Community designation and answer questions.

Conroe to be become TMO-certified “Music Friendly Community”
On Tuesday, December 18, Conroe, TX will be officially designated as a Texas Music Office-certified "Music Friendly Community," joining music metros such as Austin, San Antonio and Fort Worth. Conroe will be the first city with the business development designation in the Houston area certified by the Texas Music Office.
