Governor Greg Abbott today announced that the City of Harker Heights, having completed the multi-step certification process, has been designated as a Music Friendly Community by the Texas Music Office (TMO). The Music Friendly Community program seeks to foster music business-related economic development in Texas cities and communities.

TMO Joins The Film Friendly Texas Forum on May 21
The Texas Music Office will join our sister office - the Texas Film Commission - at their upcoming FILM FRIENDLY TEXAS FORUM on May 20, at Southfork Ranch in Parker, TX. TMO Community Relations & Outreach Specialist Chip Adams will host a panel on our Music Friendly Communities Program. Associate Vice President of Creative and Branding & Director of the Fort Worth Music Office Tom Martens is scheduled to join Adams on the panel discussion.

Governor Greg Abbott today announced the Texas Music Office (TMO), Angelina Arts Alliance, and the City of Lufkin will cohost a Music Friendly Community workshop on Monday, May 9 at 5:30 pm. TMO Community Relations & Outreach Specialist Chip Adams will attend the workshop to explain the Music Friendly Community designation and answer questions.
