About Howdywood Film Festival

MSC Aggie Cinema’s first annual Howdywood Film Festival showcasing short and feature length films by current & former Texas A&M University Students.

Who Can Submit?

Any current or former students of Texas A&M university are encouraged to submit.
 

Who can attend the Film Festival?

Festival attendance is open to all. Festival passes will be available in January 2026.
 

How many categories are there? What do you get if you win?

Feature Film
1st Place- $500
2nd Place- $300
3rd Place- $200

Current Student Short Film
1st Place- $500
2nd Place- $300
3rd Place- $200

Former Student Short Film
1st Place- $500
2nd Place- $300
3rd Place- $200

Short Film submissions must be under 45 min runtime
Feature Film submissions must be between 45 min and 120 min
