Theresa Jenkins: An Advocate For The Texas Music Industry
"A tireless advocate for Texas artists, Theresa Jenkins’ leadership as the Senior Executive Director of the Texas Chapter of the Recording Academy ushered in countless opportunities for musicians around the state during her tenure with the chapter over the last 15 years. She also inspired students and aspiring artists with her Grammy In The Schools community outreach work in Texas high schools all around the state, as well as with the Grammy U chapters that continue to launch at Texas universities and colleges...providing students with a runway and access to careers in music. Theresa’s legacy will carry on in those young artists who become the next generation of music business professionals, and in the statewide music community that she helped grow into a world-renown, Grammy-award winning industry.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with Theresa’s husband Cris and their children - and her extended family of Texas musicians, as well as the Texas Chapter of the Recording Academy employees and the Chapter’s Board of Governors and members - wishing them all solace and peace during this difficult time."
