8 Texas acts win 11 GRAMMYs at the 2021 Recording Academy GRAMMY Awards

Texas based/born (or raised) acts dominated among the winning acts at the 63rd GRAMMY Awards last night in Los Angeles, CA. View the complete list of Texas winners among the 83 different categories, including Texas artists Sarah Jarosz, Miranda Lambert, Bobby Sessions, Megan Thee Stallion, and many more! Houston native Beyoncé made history this year, when she became the most-winning female artist, and the most-winning singer, male or female, in the 63-year history of the GRAMMY Awards with a new total of 28 trophies.

The 63rd GRAMMY Awards recognized recordings released between Sept. 1, 2019, and Aug. 31, 2020.

Robert Glasper (Houston)
Best R&B Song for Better Than I Imagined

Christopher Theofanidis (Houston)
Best Classical Instrumental Solo for Theofanidis: Concerto for Viola and Chamber Orchestra

Sarah Jarosz (Wimberley)
Best Americana Album for World On The Ground

Miranda Lambert (Lindale)
Best Country Album for Wildcard

Megan Thee Stallion (Houston)
Best New Artist
Best Rap Performance for Savage

Bobby Sessions (Dallas)
Best Rap Performance for Savage

Snarky Puppy (Denton)
Best Contemporary Instrumental Album for Live At The Royal Albert Hall

Additional Notes: Davíd Garza (Dallas) co-produced Fiona Apple's "Fetch The Bolt Cutters" album, which received GRAMMY Awards for Best Rock Performance and Best Alternative Music Album.
