Family friendly event in beautiful downtown Wortham, TX. Our goal is to promote the musical legacy of Wortham blues legend "Blind" Lemon Jefferson by providing a live, open-air music festival at a family friendly price. There's also great food and fun for the kids. The Wortham Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the Seventeenth Annual Wortham Blues Festival honoring “Blind” Lemon Jefferson coming to beautiful downtown Wortham, Texas on Saturday, September 8th, 2018. This celebration has become one of Central Texas’ most anticipated events, with people coming in from all parts of Texas (and even from around the country) to enjoy some of the best blues you can find anywhere. From the beginning, our goal has been to promote the musical legacy of Wortham blues legend “Blind” Lemon Jefferson by providing a day of live, open-air music at a family-friendly price. At the Seventeenth Annual Blues Festival, festival-goers can again expect a lot of bang for their buck – the admission fee is only $10 for adults, $5 for kids, and FREE for kids five and under.
