The purpose of the National Cowboy Symposium & Celebration remains to celebrate, preserve, and pass along our American Western heritage and cowboy culture for those who know and love it, and for those who have never known it before to learn from and enjoy it as well. The event includes entertainers, poetry and storytelling, western writers and authors panels, film and movie seminars, a Youth Wild West Day, horse-handling demonstrations, a horse-themed parade, Native American Indian activities and presentations, the ever-popular Chuck Wagon Cookoff, and exhibits of Western artworks and merchandise.
