Harambee literally means "all pull together" in Swahili, thus the Annual Tarrant County Harambee Festival pulls the citizens of North Texas together for a fun filled day of food, fun, music, and health and cultural awareness in celebration of our shared history. The 2-day event kicks-off on October 6th with Friday Night Seafood, Chicken and Blues from 6:00 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. The festival continues on Friday, October 7th with a Parade, Opening Ceremony, Anti-Bulling Rally, Vendors, Poetry Slam, Health Fair, an amazing Kidz Zone, community talent showcase, and live performances from professional bands and artists. The Harambee festival has become a staple event in the community; touching the lives of thousands of citizens, affording them the opportunity to attend a stella event at “no cost” to the public, thanks to sponsors and partners.
