About the Event:
Join the Texas Music Office (TMO), the Mexia Economic Development Corporation, the City of Mexia, and Mexia Downtown, on Tuesday, August 27th at 5:30PM, for a hybrid (both in person and virtual) Music Friendly Texas Workshop.
This will be an in-depth discussion as part of the first step for Mexia to become a Music Friendly Texas Certified Community by the TMO, joining over 60 other cities and communities throughout the state, and this event is free and open to the public.
TMO Director Chip Adams and TMO Community Relations and Outreach Specialist Gini Mascorro will be in attendance to present the Music Friendly Texas program, the benefits of becoming certified, and answer any questions.

The Music Friendly Texas Certified Community Program, the first and only state-wide program of its kind in the nation since introduced by TMO in 2016, provides over 60 (and counting) Texas communities with a network for fostering music industry development, and sends a clear message to industry professionals that certified communities are serious about attracting and developing music industry growth.
