Homemade Cajun food is cooked onsite by volunteers and features such items as crawfish pies, jambalaya, crawfish pies, fried catfish & shrimp, red beans and rice, bread pudding with whiskey sauce, and much more. Center of the festival is the "Great Gumbo Cookoff" featuring amateur, professional, and culinary school categories. Gumbos may be sampled by the public. There are also an arts and craft fair, games and souvenirs. Free parking and shuttle service is provided.
