The Women in Jazz Association, Inc., DiverseArts Culture Works and Texas Music Museum cordially invite you to join us as we pay tribute to an Austin Jazz Legend and cultural icon, Dr. James Polk on Sunday Feb 19, 5pm, at the Historic Victory Grill. It’s a celebration of Dr. Polk’s decades-long tenure in Austin’s music scene—sharing his musical gifts in performance, on record, in the classroom and as part of our community. The program is a mix of testimonials and well-wishes to Dr. Polk, highlighted with musical performances by the Elias Haslanger Quartet and guest spots by a host of Austin jazz luminaries.
