Activities: Concert season
The ACO will open the 2022-23 season with a chamber music concert in the Rollins Studio Theatre located in the Long Center for the Performing Arts. This intimate venue is perfect for showcasing the different sections of the orchestra: strings, brass, percussion, and woodwinds. The program includes music by Alfieri, Barber, Berlioz, Dvořák, Grainger, and Mozart. Held on Saturday, October 1, come at 7:05 p.m. to listen to Assistant Conductor, W.P. Sterneman’s preconcert talk. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Theatre.
November 12 | 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm Pajama Party! Join us in your PJs for a special program featuring guest narrator Peter Bay. This program will feature movie music as well as Prokofiev’s beloved Peter and the Wolf.
December 17 | 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm Happy Holidays! Get ready for winter with the Austin Civic Orchestra's "Happy Holidays!" concert on Dec. 17 featuring dances from the Nutcracker Suite and many seasonal favorites.
