WRR (101.1 FM) "Classical 101" is a 100,000-watt classical music station. Since 1948, we have been the voice of the visual and performing arts for the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex and have promoted art awareness, public education, business and cultural events, along with an understanding of municipal governance. WRR fm is the oldest radio station in the state of Texas and the 2nd oldest in the United States. WRR airs the Dallas and Fort Worth Symphony Orchestras Monday nights at 8 pm. Owned by the City of Dallas, WRR broadcasts the Dallas City Council meetings on the second and fourth Wednesdays of every month from 9 am to 6 pm.
