  • KXTR (100.7 LP-FM) "The Planet" is Stephenville's Rock and Rap alternative, playing over 5 decades of popular music from 8:00 AM - 10:00 PM. During the late night hours from 10:00 PM - 4:00 AM, the station plays some of the biggest hits in Hip-Hop and Rap, both old and new. "Good music all the time." The station is owned and operated by Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas. We play all kinds of rock music and anything else that we deem worthy. The station made its first broadcast on February 9, 2004. KURT provides an opportunity for Tarleton students of all majors to gain experience both on-air and off as a DJ or by working in a management, promotions, sales, production or music position. Internships are also available for students who would like to gain experience while also earning class credit.
